Project Description

Anzac Mall Place Management Study

GMU along with MacroPlan were engaged by Canterbury City Council to undertake a Place Management Strategy for Anzac Mall in the Campsie Town Centre. The project required an urban design analysis of the feasibility and urban design outcomes of reopening, partially reopening or leaving the Mall closed to vehicular traffic. The objectives were to revitalise the area, improve natural surveillance, connectivity and activation as well as bring renewed patronage to small business and shops.

GMU conducted a stake holder consultation to test the strategies generated from the opportunities and constraints analysis and tested a number of options for the mall.
