Project Description

Port Stephens Community Study

GMU was engaged by Port Stephens Council to undertake a study to identify opportunities to make the LGA and development within it more child friendly. GMU helped identify how Port Stephens Council could implement the draft framework across policies, procedures and plans of management in order to ensure they result in approaches consistent with evidence-based best practice research in the area of Child Friendly Built and Physical Environment.

GMU worked closely with both Council and the NSW Commission for Children and Young People to report and present recommendations for future policy and reform at both local and state level.
